The challenge lies in user accessibility and utilization of the extensive recipe collection. Although the website provides a Virtual Kitchen as part of the Vegan Jumpstart Guide EBook purchase, ensuring seamless navigation and engagement within this resource remains a critical concern. Additionally, another challenge revolves around enhancing the effectiveness of the Virtual Kitchen to optimize user experience, encouraging active exploration and utilization of the diverse culinary offerings available on Naked Soul Cooking.
Solution
Informed by our extensive research, we crafted the persona of Natalie Roberts to embody the user's needs, pain points, and aspirations. By delving into Natalie's journey through a detailed map, we pinpointed key opportunities for enhancing her experience on Naked Soul Cooking (NSC). Recognizing that a majority of users, preferred mobile devices for recipe searches, we prioritized the redesign of the NSC mobile website.
Our meticulous design process involved creating an optimal sitemap and conducting multiple rounds of design studio to ideate a layout with features identified through our MoSCow Map, addressing Natalie's specific requirements. The resulting high-fidelity wireframe and prototype showcased captivating recipe photos, clear instructions, time and difficulty metrics, nutritional information, and member reviews.
Next Steps
In the next phase of our project, we will proceed with the development of the complete desktop version of the website. This entails translating our refined design concepts into a comprehensive digital interface optimized for desktop users. Following the desktop version's creation, our focus shifed to conducting thorough usability testing on the prototype. This critical step allowed us to validate the functionality, user interactions, and overall user experience, ensuring that the design aligns seamlessly with user expectations and needs.
Subsequently, the meticulously crafted design files were delivered to the development team, serving as a blueprint for the implementation of the final, polished version of the Naked Soul Cooking website. This iterative process reflects our commitment to delivering a user-centric, visually appealing, and functionally robust digital platform.
